After receiving Christ one might end up saying… Yay I’m saved…No more troubles…sins washed away.. A New start and a new life. Yet as one study and life happens. The word starts to reveal that the spirit man is saved yet our flesh has not be changed….Uhh oh!!! This is a major problem in church. Realizing that our flesh is not saved or changed yet.!!! So if there is lack of understanding this means at any second I could fall back into old habits, sin, and old ways… God’s children wait until the day when our bodies are made incorruptible but until then we are yet required to live holy and saved. How is this accomplish when the spirit is in a daily battle with the flesh…This is not a talk only life but our actions have to match. If the Holy ghost gives us power then what is the problem??? Cleary the spirit is getting denied and a form of Godliness has taken place. But I’m determined to live after the spirit and mind the things of the spirit. The bible admonishes us to crucify our affections and passions. This is not a game..But true spiritual warfare…And we must go beyond to keep our flesh under subjection or we will fail to get our chance to get delivered from these bodies. No more striving against,ignoring, or resisting the spirit. But the Holy ghost needs to have full reign in all areas of our lives… If its fasting more than once or twice a week than that is what it takes to keep this flesh in check. Can’t get cut off from God’s presence and his promises of eternal life. I’m determined to do God’s will and to see his face in peace. Not to be declared a worker of iniquity who denied the power…So lets deny ourselves because for the joy set before Him endured the cross…Lets endure the trials and the tests.. not in our own strength but relying on the Power of God!!! I’m determined.

The deceit of riches
This morning I was reading in Ecclesiastes about Solomon and how he saw the oppression of those that wear oppressed. Their tears and hard work. He went on to say that the dead were better than the living and its better for the man who hasn’t been born at all. The power of fools has cause many too be oppressed. And Solomon because of who he was gave us an account of all of these things. Even so now, oppression from groups of power is going on now. But just like Solomon said, ” it is better to be a poor child and wise than an old foolish king.” In this world it is easy to experience vanity and vexation of spirit. Let’s take Solomon’s account and testimony and believe him that it is better to have a handful with quietness. It is better to be lowly and meek like Jesus Christ. Than to deny Christ, and your very soul be lost and your life is full of things that waste and will never satisfy you or fill your void. This world is deceitful just like riches. I rather that the Lord Jesus Christ bless me and I work for it than to scheme, sell out, lose all judgement, and jeopardize my soul. Don’t let vanity and riches ruin you….
